the TMP LEADERSHIP program - Virtual

Participants in our TMP Leadership Program learn about religion reporting, newsroom leadership and coaching. Pre-COVID, the fellowship was a week-long program held in person every Fall at the Poynter Institute in St. Petersburg, Florida. Since 2020 it has been held virtually allowing us to welcome to TMP members and participants from around the world.

EUROPEAN JOURNALISM INSTITUTE (EJI) IN PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC

EJI brings together journalism students and young working journalists to a week-long training seminar in Prague, Czech Republic. Participants from Central Eastern Europe and beyond learn about journalism ethics, religious reporting, conflict reporting, photojournalism and business reporting. We are planning to host EJI with our partner, The Fund for American Studies at Anglo-American University in Prague.

LATIN AMERICAN JOURNALISM INSTITUTE (LAJI) IN SANTIAGO, CHILE

LAJI is TMP’s latest initiative to bring together students and professional journalists from throughout Latin America to focus on religion reporting and political reporting in the region. The program is conducted in Spanish.

 

*AFRICA FILM PROJECT (AFP)

AFP equips journalists working in emerging democracies to bring stories of their homelands to international audiences through compelling short documentaries.

*AFRICA JOURNALISM INSTITUTE (AJI)

A two-day conference on religion reporting and other topics in locations such as Johannesburg, South Africa, and Nairobi, Kenya.

ASIA PACIFIC JOURNALISM INSTITUTE (APJI) IN the philippines 2023

A weeklong seminar in the Asia Pacific Region with a focus on press freedom, religion reporting and video storytelling. We are planning to host APJI in Manila, Philippines, this year and welcome attendees from throughout the region.
