More and more news organizations depend on freelance journalists to cover global hot spots.  Freelancers say, however, that they are too often left to fend for themselves.  The Committee to Protect Journalists confirms what freelancers claim, saying that 2009 was the most dangerous year ever to be a freelance journalist.
