I’m Paul Monde Shalala, a 27 year old journalist who is based in Lusaka, Zambia.
I have a Diploma in Journalism from the Evelyn Hone College and a Certificate in Reporting Politics, Good Governance and Elections from the International Institute for Journalism in Berlin, Germany.
Currently am in my second year of study, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Development Studies with a minor in Political Science at the University of Zambia’s Institute for Distance Education.
In the past four years, I have worked for both the print and electronic media as a Politics Reporter, Photo-Journalist, News Editor and TV Current Affairs Analyst. The media institutions I have worked for are MUVI Television and New Vision Newspaper.
I write stories focusing on politics, religion, business and economics. I'm also an active blogger running my own blog www.paulshalala.blogspot.com. I write many articles which I also share on other social media like Facebook and Twitter from time to time.
In 2011, I attended a training workshop on “Reporting Religion” in Lusaka organized by The Media Project and since then I have stepped up my reports on religious reporting.
