Kenyan journalist Stella Oigo has always loved telling stories both in writing and narrating. Stella is a producer currently working at the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation in Nairobi Kenya. But she can easily recall a time in her life when she and her friends would gather in her neighbor's house to watch the only television in the town.

Chris Khisa has been a journalist for the last 20 years in Kenyan public broadcasting stations. He says that journalism is a calling for him, one that he has felt since he was a child. He told us the Visual Storytelling Workshop helped him to be less dependent on others in his writing and editing.

Jerry Johnson from Togo is not usually a man of many words. This quiet sociologist, photojournalist and interpreter told us frankly that the Storytelling workshop changed his life. He said it gave him "a new vision and new perspective" on his career and skills.
